Exchanghibition Bank and Pool of Plenty online!
backExchanghibition Bank and Pool of Plenty

I am going to build a pool - the Pool of Plenty - filled with money, millions of money bills, bundled in stacks, not real money, but specially designed banknotes/pieces of art. People have to undress (after all it's a swimming pool) and can go into the pool but can not take even one of the bills back home.
This will be enforced by security guards surrounding the pool. This pool I want to build for the first time at Burning Man, which might be very interesting because BM is based on a gift economy, where for one week money doesn't exist and is considered a taboo by most.......

It is possible to get a bill though; they can be bought, or rather exchanged at the Exchanghibition Bank (yes, in times when banks fall and need to be saved by the government, I will start my own bank!) There'll be a fluctuating exchange rate. The first bill I am designing will have denomination Zero, but could become the most expensive bill, because of its beauty and scarcity. The bank booth will be travelling around, sometimes at art festivals or openings but also popping up guerilla style in unexpected places. And of course the exchange rate established will give the millions of bills in the pool a value of many millions of dollars,
Does that mean the pool is a good work of art?
So far the short description, you can find more information at the 'bank' website : http://exchanghibitionbank.com/
The Bank website will be accompanied by a blog. This won't just be a blog about the project, but much more importantly, a discussion and information platform about art and money and the value of art.
You can check out the blog at http://blog.artasmoney.com
There's a page on Facebook as well: http://www.facebook.com/ArtAsMoney
And this bank will need your Bailout, so please support through our crowdfunding page:
