I uploaded a new gallery to the new Dadara site:
In 1999 I met Kham Ai Dedjoungtae in his private sculpted paradise
tucked away in the middle of nowhere near Chang Mai and invited him to
Amsterdam to work on a wooden totem based on one of my totem drawings...
for the In Search of Better Planets exhibition.

In the last week I kept looking through old boxes, scanning lots of magazines and newspaper and uploading them to the website: articles about the Fools Ark in the Oerol newspaper and in Parool, about live tattooing with Henk Schiffmacher at the No Fun Exhibition, some German articles ( die Welt, Kunstzeitung, Digicolor ), some in Japanese (Ele-King) and Spanish (Vanidad) articles about Munny's and African statues and more that I don't remember right now. Just browse through the press section to read some background info about how my art developed throughout the years.
Having a new website is addictive, so in between painting I keep sneaking back to my laptop and keep browsing through old and new images, a trip down memory lane. I uploaded two new galleries, one with my first series of painting on canvas and one with various projects and designs. I also uploaded a bunch of new drawings to the Love, Peace and Terror gallery , a bunch of illustrations, and photos of the Greymen being burnt to the Burning Greymen gallery. Just to name some random updates. And also new are some press articles; from Spits in 2000, van Kempen&Co in 2006 and a Japanese article in Loud from 1996. Any help on translating that one would be greatly appreciated.
No new paintings though, because the new series I am working on and off for the past year and a half is I feel very special and won't see any (real nor virtual) daylight untill it's time to exhibit them.
Since a few days the new website is online. We're fixing the last little bugs, editing some mistakes, and uploading more images. I will use the web category in the blog to let you know about the latest additions to the site, such as new galleries, new images, new press articles, new facts.
For instance today we added the last items so far: three pages from the Dadara Express newspaper, published on ocassion of the 2004 Love, Peace and Terror exhibition at Reflex. You can find the article here on the site.
more new stuff in the press section : an article in Filmvalley about the Love, Peace and Terror DVD release and an article in the Black Rock Gazette published in the desert during Burning Man about the Burning Greymen installation.
